M-ERA.NET 4 Call 2026
The aim of the international call is to strengthen the development of research-based knowledge through international cooperation in applied research, with a focus on supporting projects in the field of materials research and innovation. The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) will support Czech applicants, which may be companies and research organizations.
The national conditions for Czech applicants are based on the SIGMA program (DC4: International Cooperation).

2. Materials for energy conversion
3. Innovative surfaces, coatings, and interfaces
4. Innovative functional materials with defined architectures
5. Materials addressing environmental challenges
6. Next generation materials for electronics
Deadlines
- Start of competition period: March 4, 2026
- Deadline for receipt of project proposals: May 12, 2026, 12:00 CET
- Deadline for submission of mandatory attachments to TA CR: May 12, 2026, 12:00 CET
- Expected deadline for receipt of full proposals: November 18, 2026
- Start of project implementation: March 2027 at the earliest and June 2027 at the latest
- Project duration: maximum 36 months
- Maximum TA CR support per project: EUR 350,000
- Maximum funding intensity per project: 80%
- Announcement of competition results: September 2026 (pre-proposal), February 2027 (full proposal)
We kindly ask all applicants to let us know their intention to participate in the competition as soon as possible.
- Internal deadline for budget review: April 28, 2026.
- After the budget has been checked and approved, it is necessary to upload the draft proposal to the ISEP documents and start the electronic approval process by May 5, 2026, at the latest.
- When planning personnel costs, please follow the Methodological Sheet for Planning Personnel Costs.
- By April 21, 2026, send HR manager Eva Žufanová a list of the research team members you plan to include in the project proposal. You will be sent a range of salaries that you can plan for individual employees.
