Masaryk University confirms that it is the most successful institution of its kind in the Czech Republic in obtaining support from the European Union; currently within the framework of calls for postdoctoral projects.
The Brno Ph.D. Talent Award supports aspiring doctoral students in science and engineering in their research. This year, the top twenty-five were awarded a prize of CZK 360,000.

At the end of last year, the RECETOX center successfully completed a project funded by the Czech Science Foundation (GA CR) titled “Alternative Approaches in the Assessment of Male Reproductive Toxicity of Chemical Mixtures Without Animal Testing.” The project focused on potentially hazardous chemicals and their mixtures that can affect reproduction or reproductive health in men. The main goal was to improve this assessment by incorporating in vitro models, which have proven to be more effective and relevant than currently used animal testing.

Martin Marek has received an EXPRO grant from the Czech Science Foundation (GACR) to study the transfer of bioluminescent energy in marine organisms.
For more than 15 years, MUNI students have been able to go on placements in Europe through Erasmus+. Almost 3000 students have already taken advantage of this opportunity. From this year, the university has become part of a European Union exchange programme with a new feature - financed placements outside Europe.
The Academic Senate of MU, at its 284th session, approved the increase in wage rates by a higher amount than previously by approving an amendment to the Internal Wage Regulations of Masaryk University. Forty-six of the 47 present senators voted in favour.
