The 11th annual Mendel Festival, combining science, culture and entertainment, will culminate on Saturday, 18 July, at the Bohunice University Campus. Masaryk University is the festival's general partner.
At the end of June, Masaryk University paid the final instalment on what is known as repayable financial assistance from the state budget – CZK 1.775 billion for building its campus, backed by a loan from the European Investment Bank.
For the second year running, Masaryk University (MU) has climbed in the THE ranking, which tracks how higher education institutions contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year, MU placed 201–300 globally out of 1,603 assessed universities and ranked first among Czech institutions.
The Experientia Foundation has awarded a grant to a graduate of Masaryk University, enabling her to establish her own research group at the Faculty of Science.
