Three-month internship in MU laboratories gave us a lot: U.S. students
Every summer, Masaryk University welcomes about 10 foreign students who come to learn from scientists in its laboratories. Internships are available to foreign students this year as well, with applications due by April 1.

RECETOX Research Team Successfully Completes Project on Male Reproductive Toxicity Assessment Without Animal Testing
At the end of last year, the RECETOX center successfully completed a project funded by the Czech Science Foundation (GA CR) titled “Alternative Approaches in the Assessment of Male Reproductive Toxicity of Chemical Mixtures Without Animal Testing.” The project focused on potentially hazardous chemicals and their mixtures that can affect reproduction or reproductive health in men. The main goal was to improve this assessment by incorporating in vitro models, which have proven to be more effective and relevant than currently used animal testing.

Martin Marek has received an EXPRO grant from the Czech Science Foundation (GACR) to study the transfer of bioluminescent energy in marine organisms.

Students can now go on placements outside Europe with Erasmus
For more than 15 years, MUNI students have been able to go on placements in Europe through Erasmus+. Almost 3000 students have already taken advantage of this opportunity. From this year, the university has become part of a European Union exchange programme with a new feature - financed placements outside Europe.
