Career Development Workshops for PhD Students and Postdoctoral Fellows of MU Faculty of Science

During April and May 2022, as part of the implementation of the faculty action plan of the HR Award project, we have organised three English workshops for Early Stage Researchers of the Faculty of Science of MU.

Time off for employees and students

There will be Dean’s time off on May 19, 2022 for all students in connection with the celebration of the Dies academicus 2022 ceremony and Campus day activities. Classes will not be held during this day. Employees participating in these events will be excused from their job duties.

FNUSA-ICRC and the Faculty of Science MU have signed a cooperation agreement

On Tuesday, January 26 2022, with the participation of the Director of St. Anne’s University Hospital in Brno (FNUSA-ICRC), Ing. Vlastimil Vajdák, the Dean of the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University (PřF MU), Prof. Mgr. Tomáš Kašparovský PhD, and the Director of the International Centre for Clinical Research at FNUSA-ICRC, Prof. MUDr. Irena Rektorová PhD, signed a cooperation agreement.

For three months, she measured the stress of scientists on an expedition to Antarctica: I bribed them with chocolate.

"The prototype device we tested in Antarctica can measure stress. It could be used by pilots, astronauts, medics, but also by patients. It could help them to heal faster," says anthropologist Lucie Ráčková in an interview with Martin Veselovský for DVTV. (Available in Czech only.)

A special admissions procedure for applicants from Ukraine

The MU Faculty of Science opens a special admissions procedure for Bachelor’s and Follow-up master’s studies for applicants with Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence in Ukraine. Applications can be submitted from April 15 to May 21 2022.
