Interviews: 23.2.-27.2.2026

Second call (always only for stays in the following spring semester)
2nd calls are rather unlikely = please don't count on them and apply during the First call!
(if announced, it would probably be during April/May)
Participation Conditions
- The student is enrolled on an accredited bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral study programme at a higher education institution that is part of the Erasmus+ programme.
- Throughout the period of their stay the student must be normally enrolled in studies at the faculty/department through which the stay was organised, and the studies may not be ended or interrupted.
- A condition for the successful completion of the foreign study stay is the gaining of at least 20 ECTS credits for a semester of study at the host institution.
- The length of the study stay is a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 12 months.
- A student wishing to travel on a study stay to his/her country of origin will have the lowest priority in the call for applications and will be given the status of a zero grant student, i.e. without the right to provision of financial support.
- A student can undertake a study stay or internship abroad with a total length of a maximum of 12 months per study cycle (bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral). Thus it is possible to complete a 6-month study stay and a 6-month internship, or for example a whole 12-month study stay, always however there is a 12-month limit in one study cycle
Full information about the conditions of participation in the programme can be found on the website of the Centre for International Cooperation here.
Financial Conditions
The student will be granted Erasmus+ funds upon signing a financial agreement. The grant is calculated based on the anticipated length of stay, and for this calculation, 1 month is treated as 30 days. The monthly grant is set at the national level, and the amount is the same for students at all higher education institutions.
Differentiation of grants for Erasmus+ study placements (from 2024/2025):
- €600/month—countries with a high cost of living:
- Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, the the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom
- €540/month—countries with a low cost of living:
- Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey
The duration of the online mobility is not financially supported within the Erasmus+ programme. Financial support is provided for physical mobility abroad or for a physical component of blended mobility.
If the contract allows, you can apply for the whole academic year, but keep in mind that you will only be awarded a scholarship for 1 semester. Due to the long-term high interest, another semester will be supported only if sufficient funding remains (the priority is to send as many students as possible for at least one semester). Therefore, we recommend applying for 1 semester to ensure you receive a scholarship. If there is interest and availability, extending the stay will be possible.
Application
The application is submitted electronically in the ISOIS application. Select Erasmus+ SMS (Students) on the homepage. The application form will show you a selection of universities with which your department has cooperation agreements. You can select up to 3 universities in order of priority.
The selection process is based on the information provided and will be complemented by a personal interview in English. The interviews will take place between 23.2.-27.2.2026; in case it is impossible to attend in person, the online form can be used in pre-arranged situations.
Required attachments are:
1) Motivation letter, max. 1A4
2) An expected list of courses you would be interested in taking at the selected foreign university (add for each selected university)
3) Transcript of Records (generated from the IS MU)
4) Proof of language proficiency, if you already have it – most universities will require it.
TIP: You can test your language skills using the European Commission's EU Academy portal. The language test results can be used for your application, but they may not be sufficient to meet the requirements of a foreign university.
Before submitting your application, please review
1) information on the CZS website
2) the website of the selected foreign university, look at the course offer – it is necessary that most of the selected courses have some connection with the programme you are studying. You should also check the language or accommodation options to get a better idea of what to expect.
3) If you already have a bachelor's or master's thesis assigned, contact your supervisor to see if you can spend a semester abroad during the planned period without disrupting the progress of your thesis.
Evaluation criteria
1) Relevant study programme
2) study results
3) oral interview
4) previous placement abroad

Please indicate your departmental coordinator in the MU Departmental Coordinator field.
Other matters (signing the Participation Agreement before departure, payment of the scholarship, etc.) should be discussed with the coordinator from the International Cooperation Center.
