This project integrates artificial intelligence (AI) into the course Bi2727 “Isotope Analysis in Bioarchaeology” to transform how students work with complex scientific data. Using isotope datasets from IsoArcH, students will interact with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini) through a structured interface to construct datasets, explore patterns, and generate interpretations. Rather than relying on AI outputs, they will critically evaluate their reliability, biases, and limitations within a scientific framework. The project strengthens key skills in data analysis, interpretation, and critical thinking, while developing AI literacy and responsible use of digital tools in research.
