Ensuring sufficient food supply for the growing world population under changing climate conditions and in a sustainable way is one of the biggest challenges of our time. The aim of this project is to uncover the mechanisms involved in responding to abiotic stress during critical phases of plant growth and development, optimize biotechnological procedures for utilizing new findings in breeding, support the transfer of new knowledge into breeding practice, and raise public awareness of new breeding techniques.
Sustainable Development Goals
Masaryk University is committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to improve the conditions and quality of life on our planet by 2030.
