This project seeks to develop the CRISPR-PRIME genome editing technique to ultimately identify the regulatory sequences of critical genes involved in fruit development and the control of seed dormancy. Developing this technique will elucidate the genetic factors and molecular mechanisms that control the expression of essential regulatory genes involved in the development of locular tissue in fleshy fruits using tomato as a reference species and in response to high temperatures during the maturation of rapeseed seeds. This project contributes to developing scientific collaboration, know-how exchange, and state-of-the-art technological sharing between the French and Czech laboratories by promoting new cooperation in plant biotechnologies.
