The main goal of this ERA Chair project proposal is to develop new capacities for the Environmental Health research in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, namely at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, by establishing the excellent international scientist as an ERA Chair and a leader of new research programme on Environmental Epidemiology, Biostatistics and/or Bioinformatics. The new research group will focus on interpretation of available regional data on the environmental exposures and
their impacts on population health, and contribute to development of new study programmes in the Environmental Health sciences including the Ph.D. school.
