The new Dean of the Faculty of Science received his letter of appointment from the Rector today. He will officially take office on February 1, 2026, replacing Tomáš Kašparovský.
Luděk Bláha will lead the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University for the next four years. The current vice-dean for doctoral studies was appointed by the faculty senate in October last year. In February, he will replace Tomáš Kašparovský, who is ending his second term in office.

We would like to inform you that applications are now open for Erasmus+ stays in the Spring semester of 2027. Two types of mobility are available in this second round of the call.
The Czech national team achieved outstanding success at the 2026 International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO). Competing against 166 students from 42 countries, the four Czech secondary school students won a total of 11 medals – two gold, seven silver and two bronze.
