UPCON 2026

The UPCON conference series aims to bring together researchers, experts, and other stakeholders interested in upconversion nanoparticles and molecules, with the goal of presenting and discussing the latest advances in the synthesis, development, and applications of these unique materials, as well as tools for their detection. This international conference was first held in 2016 in Wrocław (Poland), followed by Valencia (Spain, 2018), the online edition UPCONline (2021), and Montréal (Canada, 2024).

The conference is open to all researchers, students, and industry professionals interested in upconversion nanomaterials. It regularly attracts scientists from around the world—in the UPCON 2024 edition, participants from more than fifteen countries were represented. A total of 122 academics and students from nineteen countries have registered for this year’s edition.
