Open Science Workshop 2022

Hybrid workshop organized by Research & Development Office (Rector's Office) will be focused on the topic of Open Science. Registration is compulsory. The workshop will be held in person at the Faculty of Social Studies as well as online via MS Teams.
The Vice-Rector of Research and Doctoral Studies will open the workshop of Masaryk University, prof. Šárka Pospíšilová. Subsequently, the MU Open Science Manager, Jiří Marek, will present the proposal of the MU Open Science Strategy 2022-2028 as a framework for further developing these activities at the university. The coordinator of the OPERAS association, which focuses on the cooperation of SSH disciplines in academic publishing across Europe, Pierre Mounier, and the participants, will reflect on the future of the Open Access diamond/platinum journey which is gradually becoming a trend. The end of the morning part will belong to Matěj Antol, Executive Director of CERIT-SC and his presentation on the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiative in the Czech Republic. In the afternoon, participants will have two workshops. The first will be devoted to storing research data at MU, and the second will present a new tool for creating a Data Management Plan (DMP) at the university - the Data Stewardship Wizard. Both workshops will be led by Michal Růžička, Head of the Security and Data Management Department at ICS MU.
The topic of Open Science is also part of the new personnel strategy of the Faculty of Science MU, HR Award/HRS4R.
