AZV Call 2027

12 Feb 2026

The Ministry of Health has announced a public call for project proposals in the field of applied health research.

The call documentation is published on the Ministry of Health website here. The call documentation and other competition-related documents are also available on the MU Portal. A summary of important information about the call is available here. Important instructions for preparing project proposals in ISVP are available here (Czech version only).

The AZV seminar will take place on 24 February 2026; registration is open until 18 February 2026 here.

Important deadlines

  • Call deadline: Monday, 23 March 2026 at 12:00 noon
  • Project start date (for funded projects): 1 January 2027
  • Project end date: 31 December 2030
  • Project duration: 48 months
  • Personnel costs: By Friday, 27 February 2026, please send Eva Žufanová (evazufan@sci.muni.cz) a list of the project team members you intend to include in the proposal. You will then receive, via Secretary of the Institute, the approved salary ranges that may be budgeted for each team member.
  • Internal deadline for budget submission in ISVP (for formal review): Monday, 9 March 2026. Once the budget has been reviewed and approved, please upload a draft version of the  proposal to the Documents in ISEP and initiate the electronic approval of the cover sheet no later than 18 March 2026.
  • Deadline for submitting the generated FINAL PDF proposal via Data Mailbox: Friday, 20 March 2026 by 12:00 noon.

(All of the above also applies if the Faculty of Science MU participates as a co-applicant. The proposed budget for the Faculty of Science must be reviewed even if you are involved as a co-applicant or as a team member in a project submitted by another MU faculty. In all such cases, an approved Faculty of Science cover sheet is required before the proposal can be submitted in ISEP.)

Research Ethics Committee

Applications for review by the Research Ethics Committee must be submitted via the INET system (ISEP application – Project Proposal Editor). The deadline for REC submissions is Tuesday, 24 February 2026 at 14:00! More information here.

Ethics approval is required from every institution involved in research with human participants, regardless of whether MU acts as the lead applicant or a co-applicant. The MU Research Ethics Committee strongly recommends submitting all MU-based projects for review if the project involves research with human participants and/or human biological material at MU, irrespective of MU’s role in the project.

Internal instructions

  • Proposals must be submitted through the ISVP system. In the proposal, please add the following authorized persons in the role of “Editor”: Irena Trňáčková and Eva Žufanová (HR Department).
  • If you are using the ISVP system for the first time, or submitting for the first time on behalf of the Faculty of Science, please contact Irena Trňáčková (trnackova@sci.muni.cz) to request a user account.
