23 September 2024 was the first day of this year's autumn semester, and the upcoming training course "Gender Stereotypes Against Women" was organised by the Personal Management Office, Rector´s Office MUNI. The training took place as part of the first module of training activities under the "Gender Equality Plan MU" (GEP).

The content of the two-hour online training was prepared by GenderNORA, which provided basic insight and education into the issues and theoretical concepts. Its three-member team of lecturers was introduced by the director MgA. Bc. Eva Lukešová, as well as the activities of this association. During the training, two other lecturers took the floor to introduce basic phenomena such as “the glass ceiling" or "glass escalator" and others. Data describing the "gender pay gap" and other areas affected by gender diversity were also presented. The end of the training was enlivened by audiovisual material created with the support of the Norwegian funds and GenderNora. The training was then closed with a short discussion.

We would like to thank all the participants very much. We believe that the training was beneficial, especially for people new to the topic, and thanks to the workshop, they got acquainted with the sensitive issue of gender stereotypes.
