Applications for the 3rd annual HYTEP Award are now open!

Try your luck and apply for the 3rd annual HYTEP Award for excellent thesis work in the field of hydrogen and hydrogen technologies, which is being organized for the umpteenth time by the Czech Hydrogen Technology Platform (HYTEP) based on previous successful years. The HYTEP Award is managed by the Czech Hydrogen Technology Platform, and we are currently accepting theses from the 2025/2026 academic year for review.

7th Hands-On Computational Enzyme Design Course

Do you need to engineer your protein of interest? Do you wish to employ user-friendly one-stop-shop software tools for the design of mutations and libraries, but do not want to spend time on tedious installations or use the Unix command-line? This interactive course will provide essential theory on different areas of enzyme engineering and hands-on experience with several software tools suitable for mining new enzymes, and engineering the activity, specificity, enantioselectivity, stability, and solubility of enzymes. To remain at the cutting edge of scientific advancements, we will also explore the applications of machine learning techniques and quantum computing in enzyme design.

Exhibiton research

On February 11, the EXHIBITION RESEARCH event will take place on the Kotlářská campus from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, organized on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
Everyone from the Faculty of Science is invited to participate - students, researchers, and administrative staff. The event offers an opportunity to learn about the research carried out by women at the faculty, and at the same time draws attention to the important work of administrative and operational staff, which often takes place in the background, but is indispensable for the functioning of the faculty.
