Digital recording and virtual simulation in the Master's programme in Anthropology

Teaching within the Master's programme in Anthropology at the FSci MU achieves excellent parameters, especially in 3D recording and applications in morphometry, ergonomics, forensic anthropology and archaeological documentation of burial sites. However, technical equipment for practical teaching in these areas is rapidly becoming obsolete. The project will purchase licenses of computer programs for 3D modelling, new virtual reality kits and computer sets for students. Incorporating this equipment into five practical courses will allow multiple groups or even individuals to practice at the same time, and field wi-fi will allow the use of electronic recording and practice of osteological methods using online applications. The project will thus increase the efficiency of teaching laboratory methods and bring field research on burial sites to the state-of-the-art level.
