The Moravian Sahara is a designation for the relict dune field in Lower Moravian Basin formed during the Pleistocene, which were blown out from the Neogene basement and fluvio-lacustrine sediments. Main aim of this research is to interpret diverse morphology and variable orientation of the dunes, which may reflect different meteorological conditions during individual phases of their deposition.
